The International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), in association with the Light Dues Boards Peninsular Malaysia, will host an IALA Seminar on the IALA Risk Management Tool – IWRAP MkII from 20 to 24 April 2009, at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
If you need to install IWRAP Mk2, please goto [[Installation]]

The seminar will introduce the revised IALA Risk Management Tool (consisting of IWRAP MkII and PAWSA) and provide training on the use of IWRAP MkII, using practical examples. The new IWRAP MKII replaces the previous IWRAP tool. Participants will benefit from the presence of expert trainers and, in addition to provided practical examples, will have, time permitting, the opportunity to use the system to evaluate data of their own. The seminar is directed towards those involved in the design, marking and management of waterways (as laid down in SOLAS Chapter V. There is a limit of 50 delegates for the seminar, each of which is requested to bring his / her own laptop. The working language of the seminar will be English.

Welcome to the IWRAP Mk2 Wiki site.

IWRAP is a modeling tool useful for maritime risk assessment. Using IWRAP you can estimate the frequency of collisions and groundings in a given waterway based on information about traffic volume/composition, route geometry and bathymetry.

This Wiki provides some guidance on the use of the IALA Risk Management Tool IWRAP
