The IALA Cloud Concept being developed. No part of the content of this page has been endorsed by IALA, and it should therefore only be interpreted as fantasies of the imagination of the author(s).

The Concept

The IALA Cloud

  • is a technical framework for connecting information sources and information consumers.
  • is highly decentralized
  • can include thousands of participating nodes
  • has only a handful of centralized components which glue everything together
  • resides in the Cloud
  • is primarily paid for by the participants
  • is based on Open Source software
  • is capable of sharing a wide range of data & information types.

The fundamental rationale for these connections is that every participant contributes his/her information and receives back the information from other participants who are willing to share their information to a group...

There is a [difference between data and information].
